DPR Gagal Gelar Rapat Perdana Pansus Haji, Kenapa?

The postponement of the inaugural meeting of the Hajj Special Committee was allegedly because the DPR leadership could not attend if the inaugural meeting was held on Wednesday, July 17 2024.

This was explained by Member of the Special Committee (Pansus) for Hajj DPR, Wisnu Wijaya.

"Indeed, today at 13.00 sharp, there will be an inaugural special committee meeting to elect the leadership of the special committee. This meeting is the first, and must be attended by the leadership of the DPR," said Wisnu in his statement Wednesday, July 17 2024.

Wisnu said that the special committee members appointed by the DPR faction had actually moved to Jakarta from their respective electoral districts.

The reason is, members of this special committee are currently on recess and carrying out working visits (kunker) in several areas.

"With enthusiasm, we were (willing to) attend the invitation to today's meeting at 13.00. However, yesterday afternoon, towards the evening, there was information regarding the postponement. Until when, we also asked the secretary general to set the agenda, that is until the time which will be informed again, such as that," explained Vishnu.

Wisnu also explained that his party would continue to have a good opinion regarding the postponement of the inaugural Haj special committee meeting because perhaps the DPR leadership would not be able to attend.

"We will be on standby here to prepare any discussion items that will be held at the special committee event. Thank you, sorry for the inconvenience," concluded Vishnu.
