Hasto himself was summoned by the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) to investigate a corruption case related to the 2019 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
After sensing something was wrong, Megawati asked the KPK to work in accordance with state regulations.
"Well, yes, I wasn't afraid when Pak Hasto was called. I didn't think it was appropriate, with Rossa," said Megawati at the Perindo National Mukernas at Inews Tower on Wednesday 30 July 2024.
"Who are you, Rossa? Don't just be the KPK, you know, I'm not afraid, I'm crazy," he said.

Megawati also admitted that she also plays a role in legal institutions such as the Corruption Eradication Committee and the Constitutional Court.

"Now the law is being destroyed by power," said Megawati.
